Clinical Indications
Diagnosis and management of wound infections including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical site infections, burns, and chronic non-healing wounds. Resistance marker detection guides appropriate antibiotic selection.

Specimen Requirements

- N/A for swabs; tissue specimens should be at least 3mm

- Swab in Amies transport media or tissue in sterile container
- Transport Conditions
- Maintain at room temperature and transport within 24 hours
- Specimen Stability
- Swabs stable in transport media for 48 hours at room temperature
